an endless chain of “dynamos,” the Elder Brothers Who are ready to help
the weary traveler upon the chain of ascent, a “Fiery Admonition”
directing toward the General Good, the Stream of Love Divine, the
Cosmic Magnet, the Ladder of Divine and Spiritual Ascent, the Call of
the Heart, the Guardians of Light, the Bridge to the Higher World, the
Kingdom of Light and Jacob’s Ladder, in the book of Genesis—the
Solar-Planetary Hierarchy stands, radiating Their Light, Love and Power
into our world. Ready are They to move closer to humanity
than ever before, if the disciples and aspirants of the world but
awaken from their inertia, recognize their responsibility and willingly
cooperate.
Eternally, the Hierarch must be recognized as a Link in a Great
Evolutionary Chain—the One who fulfills the Will of an ever Higher
One.2 And, thus, the Agni Yoga
wisdom advises that of the “four
stones,” which make up the foundation of all human actions, the first
should be “Reverence for the Hierarchy”.3
Why is it important to ponder or even consider this great and endless
chain of “Dynamos” Who are invisible and seemingly nonexistent to so
many?
The reasons are many; one comes from the Agni Yoga Wisdom, which simply
affirms: “Not being linked in spirit with the higher energies, man
truly destroys his best possibilities.”4
Another reason, which might surprise those who perceive the Hierarchy
of Masters as all omnipotent, comes from the wisdom of the Tibetan
Master, Djwhal Khul, wherein he reveals that a Master is inescapably
and inexorably dependent upon the group of spiritual workers who have
pledged themselves to that work: “According to the ability of the
group, as a whole, to function under the impetus of the spiritual
instinct will be the success of the Master to carry out His plans
through the medium of the group. Under divine law, He may not
work alone; He cannot work alone. He can inspire, teach, ask for
cooperation and give guidance as to the needed work. Beyond that,
no Master may go.”
Providing further reason for disciples to be ever alert to their needed
cooperation and responsibility, he continues: “In this world
cycle, the work of the Hierarchy is conditioned by the disciples, and
they can well understand, therefore, why the last fetter cast off by a
Master is irritation!”5
At the time of the writing of this newsletter, two of the Three Major
Spiritual Festivals, forming the high point of the annual cycle have
passed and we can now work with the culminating high point of the
year—the Festival of Gemini, also known as World Invocation Day and the
Festival of the Christ.
This Festival brings attention to the universal Christ Principle at the
heart of all life and to the living Christ—the One who is expected to
return, being referred to in the world’s religions by such names as
Maitreya, Bodhisattva, Imam Mahdi and Messiah, among others. It
also calls attention, reciprocally, to the spirit of humanity aspiring
towards God, seeking conformity with the Will of God and dedicated to
the expression of right human relations.
The unique opportunity which confronts the Christ is that of unifying
and synthesising all the forces and energies made available through the
past two Festivals and those which He Himself will set in motion in
response to the invocative appeal of the New Group of World Servers,
the men and women of goodwill and humanity—into one great and potent
downpouring of spiritual energy. It is essential, states the
Tibetan Master, that we try to grasp the beauty of this synthesis and
the unity of this hierarchical effort—and play our part responsibly and
cooperatively. (Next)
