The Cycle of the Incoming Seventh Ray:
The One Who Lifts to Life
This ashramic sharing is one of the great compensations of discipleship….[by this means] great united strength can be brought to the service of the Plan, and the occult significance of the words: "My strength is as the strength of ten, because my heart is pure" can be grasped. The perfected strength of the Ashram (symbolised by the number 10) becomes available to the disciple whose purity of heart has enabled him to penetrate into the Ashram; his knowledge becomes more rapidly transmuted into wisdom as his mind is subjected to the play of the higher understanding of Those with Whom he is associated; gradually he begins to contribute his own quota of light and of understanding to those just entering and to those who are his equals.1

We live in a most interesting and pivotal period in our racial and planetary history—a period unlike any which has preceded it.  Many are the engaging and fascinating prophesies that have been given out for this evolving Age of Aquarius—prophesies which promise exciting, creative and significant transformations in the day-to-day life.

Several of these prophesies are a direct result of the incoming seventh ray, which can bring beauty out of the present chaos.

The originating sources of the seven rays of our Second Ray solar system emanate from the seven stars of the Great Bear.  Being cyclic in appearance, each of these seven rays have continuously passed in and out of manifestation and have thus left their mark down the ages upon mankind, and all life on the planet.

Currently, the Seventh Ray—the ray of Ceremonial Order or Magic, also known by 23 other qualifying and descriptive names such as “The One Who Lifts to Life,” The Divine Alchemical Worker,” “The Key to the Mystery,” “The Expression of the Will,” “The Fiery Unifier” and “the Revealer of Beauty”2 is waxing as we continue to progress into the New Age.
This ray is here to insure the ushering in of a new world order—if humanity, but plays its part.  The reason for this is because it "embodies a curious quality which...is the coordinating factor unifying the inner ...[essence] and the outer tangible form or appearance."3

How so very reasonable and orderly is the Great Plan of Love and Light!  The seven Breaths of Life sweep in and out of incarnation thus fulfilling the purposes of our cosmic Deity.  They change the nature of the planetary civilization and the culture of humanity in any given period.  Changes are created in all the kingdoms in nature, producing differing soul qualities with consequent changes in the outer visible forms.

The outgoing sixth Ray of Idealism or of Abstract Visioning, as this ray is called, impulsed humanity to develop the quality of devotion to ideals.  Thus, the world religions have held the centre of the stage for several thousand years in an effort to help humanity seek one-pointedly the higher spiritual values ascribed to God Imminent and God Transcendent.

As a result, the personal vehicle, the mechanism whereby the soul contacts the three worlds of physical plane substance, which otherwise would be sealed and hidden to the experience and experiment of the soul, has been acutely sensitized and developed during the past two thousand years.

The way has been prepared and we have been primed for the current great cycle of life on our planet wherein the task is to bring into outer expression that which has been visioned throughout the preceding cycle.  The abstract spiritual ideals of the world's great religions must now be made tangible and part of the day-to-day life.

As the above keynote indicates, there is an inherent relationship between the seventh ray and the great principle of sharing, which ever governs divine purpose.  This cycle of “Growth through Sharing" affects  both the disciples' ability to "share in the great hierarchical task of illuminating, precipitating and lifting" as well as humanity's simultaneous implementation of economic sharing.  In this dual effort, lies the sole hope of the world.

Because the seventh ray unifies the periphery and the point at the centre, its inherent nature is to embrace “that which is above and that which is below” and by so doing, it produces beauty, order, perfect wholes and right relationships.  It is the Will towards Expression.

How then can spiritual workers not engage in the task of the times and help bring resolution to our current political, religious, economic and social problems?

May we find inspiration from the energies of this “Fiery Unifier” to carry out our divine mission on the wings of love, through understanding and wise action, and a willingness of mind and heart to help bring order and beauty into our troubled world.     (Next | Index)
